MEET OUR TEAM
Dr. Stephanie Moore, originally from Johns Creek, GA, graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology. She then attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and graduated in the top of her class. Dr. Moore completed a 2 1/2 year residency at the Medical College of Georgia and received her specialty certificate in orthodontics. Shortly after graduation, Dr. Moore pursued board certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is thrilled to now be part of the East Cobb community.
Dr. Moore is a fourth generation dentist in her family, but the first orthodontist! Having braces herself, in 6th grade, peaked her interest in this profession and she has loved it ever since. “I love being an orthodontist because I get to go to work every day and help people feel good about themselves. Its amazing what it can do to a person’s self esteem when they love their smile, and I love that I can be a part of that!”
Dr. Moore married her college sweetheart, Lonnie Moore. Lonnie graduated from Georgia State University and is an accountant at Smith & Howard. They are the proud parents of Preston, Hudson, and Brooklyn. In Dr. Moore’s spare time she loves crafting, baking, traveling, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Moore is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Hinman Dental Society.
Dr. Laurie Cavallaro graduated Phi Beta Kappa with her degree in Chemistry from the University of Hawaii, at Manoa. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with high honors from Emory University School of Dentistry where she also earned her Certificate of Orthodontics upon completion of her residency.
Dr. Cavallaro is an active participant in her profession and continues to stay abreast of the latest developments in orthodontic care. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Emory University-Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where she offers her expertise and input for complicated orthodontic malocclusion that requires jaw surgery for correction. She has served as a Director for the Georgia Association of Orthodontists from 2007 to 2012 and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northwestern District Dental Society, Hinman Dental Society, and the Cherokee Study Club.
She has enjoyed practicing orthodontics since 1988 and believes “Being an orthodontist is one of the best professions in the world! Orthodontics is the perfect blend of art and science. A beautiful smile contributes to self-confidence and can help build self-esteem. I have been privileged to treat so many great families over the years and to contribute to those beautiful smiles!”
Dr. Cavallaro lives with her family in Roswell. Dr. Cavallaro and her husband Kevin have two grown sons, Connor and Houston. When not perfecting smiles, she can be found spending time with family and friends, gardening, or hiking.
Ann is our front office coordinator and will often be the first smiling person you speak to or see in our practice. She makes sure appointments with us are well-coordinated with your busy schedule and can answer any questions you may have! She is also a certified orthodontic assistant, which allows her to help out with pretty much anything around the office. Ann has been part of the practice for over 27 years and loves getting to know our patients and their families. She and her husband, Ray, have 3 children, and four grandchildren, most of whom have been patients!
Angela is our back office coordinator and an orthodontic assistant. She keeps things flowing in the operatory and helps promote a positive work environment. She has been doing orthodontic work for 12 years. She trained in Virginia, then moved to D.C. to work at a practice as a lab coordinator. She has 3 fur babies, including a new corgi puppy. She loves the mountains and finding new camping spots in the fall. Her favorite thing about her work is seeing the way a new smile can improve a patients life.
Victoria is a certified orthodontic assistant with 3 years of experience. She lives in Dallas and enjoys all of the open land. She has 2 dogs who she often takes hiking and running. She spends her time exploring new places and crafting for friends and family. She enjoys learning from new projects and patients. She began her orthodontic work because she wanted to help to create new smiles which help promote confidence.
Dana is a certified orthodontic assistant and is also certified in radiology and CPR. Dana has been with the practice for 10 years and is happy to be part of the Orthodontics world where she can see confidence bloom and smiles come to life every day! In her spare time Dana enjoys boating and fishing with her two boys, and she is an avid artist. In between working in the dental field she did fine art restoration, and even helped restore a painting by Paul Cezanne! She loves to paint, and her portraits on consignment can sometimes be seen in the Marietta Square.
Megan is an orthodontic assistant and helps with front office management. She had braces for a while and was always fascinated with the process which began her work in the field. In her spare time she loves dancing, and even did competitions for more than 10 years. She has 2 cats and lives in Marietta where she also nannies. She is passionate about working with children and helping transform their smiles over time.
Christine is our laboratory tech and helps with our social media. She is currently a senior at Kennesaw State where she is studying communication. She has a dog who she rescued, and she enjoys taking him on long walks in her spare time. She loves adventures like white water rafting and even worked as a camp counselor on the Ocoee River for 5 summers. Her passion is helping people and she loves that her job allows her to interact with patients and see how a new smiles can improve their lives.
